Buildings

Web-Based O&M can be applied to any type of buildings. It can aid comprehension of building's operations and services in the area of building facilities management while keeping documents and plans organized, in tact and manageable in the whole building lifecycle.

Contractors and consultants can access information quickly to troubleshoot and understand complex building information easily. Critical information can also be made accessible to all conveniently, from operations to management level.

Non-Buildings

Web-Based O&M can also be applied to non-buildings development or construction projects, such as public infrastructure, water or sewerage treatment plant, etc. Building developers, architects, engineers and contractors can also engage the use of Web-Based O&M simply for archiving purposes that will facilitate document handling, information access and storage purposes.

  System

Web-Based O&M adopts the use of digital imaging and web technologies. Built on a client-side platform with open source codes – HTML, JavaScript, etc., it is platform and vendor neutral.

All construction and digitized files are, either non-proprietary or in standard digital formats, viewable using commonly available web-browser or file viewer. It is operable, both online and offline, be it for standalone PC or network usage.

Web-Based O&M is efficient, flexible and easily adaptable to common digital platforms without the need of a web-server or database management system, i.e. linkable to Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Integrated Building Management System (IBMS).

   Features

Navigation Menus & Sub-Menus are industry-driven and pre-categorized according to the content requirements in its own category - individual services, update contents or any other customized contents with hypertext links linking to the respective main page.

Table of Contents with hypertext links linking to the relevant data files are formatted in services, volume number, chapters and indexes according to the original documents or drawing lists available. The level of breakdown will be organized in the form of nested lists according to its chapters, sections and sub-sections. The industry’s conventional category will take precedence to form the Table of Contents, i.e. Architectural, Civil & Structural and Mechanical & Electrical, if no reference or instruction is available.

Internal File Search Engine will be incorporated in Web-Based O&M to facilitate file search function. Search results will appear as hypertext links linking to the searched files.

Master Project Index, Project Info and Help Page will form part of the content in Web-Based O&M. The Master Project Index page will list all relevant projects and A&A works. The Project Info page will integrate statutory planning details, emergency contacts, update reference, CSC and other building details. Help page will provide basic information on the use of Web-Based O&M and overview of the contents available in Web-Based O&M.
